Nicely publishing is an independent, London based company. It is designed to produce unique, thought-provoking stories that challenge the majority into thinking deeper than what we observe on a surface level.
The main aim is to inspire through social and cultural expression, as well as provide an alternative mindset and way of perceiving our world.
Here is an explanation of the meaning behind the logo:
Nicely is an acronym meaning: never ignorant continually evolving with the "y" being symbolic of virtue, which is one of Ma'at principles meaning to have a high moral standard.
Besides the name, the logo: Ma'at wings, the Eye of Horus and the Ankh are deeply rooted in African culture, specifically Kemetian spirituality today know as Egyptian mythology. I have chosen these concepts as a symbolism of eternal life, guidance, and removing the veil of ignorance basking in truth, harmony and balance.
Not to mention my logo is me expressing my love for my African culture.
If there is one thing I want you to take away from this, that is:
Truth is bliss, not ignorance.
